I have had a pair of the American made mod 1s for over a year now and man those are just about the perfect shoe. The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn despite being a little on the narrow side. So when I saw they started making them in a wide version I jumped on it, and well I'm really disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's still a very well made shoe. every seam is double stitched and the sole is glued and stitched. However dimensionally the wide is exactly the same as the regular. On the left in the image is the new Italian made one and the right is the old American made shoe. They're exactly the same which makes me really sad since I loved these shoes. Because I'm getting over a foot injury I really need a wide shoe and these put too much pressure on the side of my foot. Please actually make a wide version and don't just rebrand the regulars. Also this new gel insole is total crap, go back to the grippy foam insoles. those were the best insoles I have ever used. The new ones are slippery and feel like I'm standing barefoot on cement. Also the new side grommets still suck, I accidentally snagged and tore out the mesh on one the second day wearing them. I want to like these I just can't give them 5 stars when they aren't actually wides. Maybe the Italians have a different standard for wide shoes. I do like the leather tongue keeper. That was a good improvement, so there's that I guess.
Such a good fit. Comfortable, and cool. They might be my first pair, but they won’t be my last!
Very good quality. It’s one of the most confortable shoes I’ve ever owned. Supporting Vet’s.
They are comfy but the wides are not very wide, I’m an 11w but these 12w just barely make the cut!
Otherwise great shoe
I’ve always wanted shoes like this but worry because I have a wide foot and ordered these because they offer wide sizes. They are so comfortable and I have worn them almost everyday since I got them!
Like the shoes. Didn't take long to break them. Length wise, it's good, however, the width is still not comfortable. I order a wide, but when I received my shoes, they did look narrow in person. I checked the label and it did say wide size (the label didn't last long and came off). My pinky toe doesn't feel comfortable when walking. The toe cap on the shoe is narrow too and only four of my toes are within the toe cap. Aside from that complaint, I don't see any other issues with the shoes. Got good grip and soles are comfy. Laces stay intact and tied. I say these woobies could use some minor improvements on sizing.
Received the 11.5 wide after exchanging the 11.5 standard I had ordered originally but was too slim for my feet. I've been wearing them pretty much all day for the past 6 days and while I think there is a break-in period I am not fully through yet, I am enjoining how they fit and the solid traction despite significant ice & snow in my area this winter. I think they look great, I've gotten several compliments on how they look. I am disappointed one of the heel-pulls broke on day 6 of wear - maybe this was improved/changed on the Mod 2? - but otherwise I am happy with my purchase and would buy these again. Recommended.
The shoes are well built and comfortable.
Quality is good, like the color and material. The fit and sizing are not that comfortable. Wide size and is not wide.
Fits great and comfortable
I absolutely love my woobies. They are my everyday and all day shoe. I was disappointed that the sole stitching on inner side of shoe came loose on both shoes however some glue fixed them and have not had any issue since!!!
I had a problem with the original shoe size but the customer service was helpful and quick to get those exchanged to the correct size. Shoes appear to be made with quality in mind. So far so good.
I wanted to rock these shoes but the way they are designed they didn't fit my feet right. Even when I bought the wide ones. They kept pinching my pinky toes. Great company though.
Vans out, Woobies in. 10/10.
I have two pairs and definitely recommend the shoes to everyone. My foot is weird in that I have really high arches with a wider foot. The pair of regular 11's I have was small at first but eventually broke in to fit better. The second pair I got I went 11 wides but they still were a little small. So it switched it up to 12 wides and they're a little long but fit great on width. Next pair I buy I might try the 12 regulars first to see how that works. But again, I always have this problem with shoes. all I know is they were really good with the exchange/return process and I like my shoes.
Gift for my son who absolutely loves them. Always a bonus for this past military family to support veteran owned businesses.
Original size 11 was surprisingly narrow. I had to send it back. The 11 wide fits terrifically. I've never owned a shoe like this. Crazy durable, very original, build so well.
Got these to replace a earlier pair. Got the wides for my son this time! Great shoes and this just made the fit that much better. Great shoes
They run a little small.
One of the best shoes I've ever worn. Light, comfortable, breathable feel for your feet. Plus, they go well with everything. Use them for hiking, raving, working, traveling, whatever you want, just use them.
The wides are still a little narrow in the toe box but they do break in rather quickly.
So far i love the fit and just in general how these shoes feel in the gym.
I ordered wide. I don't have overly wide feet by any means, but wanted wide for the extra room and comfort. The shoes I got are not wide at all and make my toes feel crowded. The shoes don't say anything on them to indicate regular, wide, size or anything. The screen on the grommet fell off within the first 2 weeks as well. I emailed woobies 2 times to ask them if they could check on the order to verify I was sent the wrong width but they never replied. Just this automated email for a review that I'm sure will get screened. Overall the shoes are ok. Like the style. Too small around the toes especially for WIDE. And POOR customer service.
They are extremely well built and very comfortable but the toe cap is a bit to narrow and restrict blood flow.
