For the style of shoe they are, they seem to be very comfortable. I love the way they look as well.
Thomas G.
The build quality if the Mod 1 is very good. I like the toe cap, and the canvas is very sturdy, should be very durable. The shoe fit however is very narrow, not good for wide feet. I have been wearing them around in the hopes they will stretch/break in a bit. The sole is also very hard, which will probably make it long lasting, but it also has a clip-clop on hard surfaces like a horse walking on pavement. Overall, nice build quality, but if you have a wide foot, I would go up at least a half size or more, there is no recommendation on the website for this.
Mark B.
Not nearly as comfortable as my previous pair
Christopher M.
Sent them back for a size exchange and haven’t heard from you since. I’d like the new size or my $ back please.
Scott T.
Love these shoes.
Daniel F.
I actually haven't gotten to try them yet as they ship to Florida and I had moved to Hawaii. I'll pick him up in about 3 months when I'm there. Thank you for making the swap on the size easy. Much appreciated
John L.
Great fit and enjoy working out in them.
Daniel S.
Amazing shoes , my second pair of black Mod 1s. And have had other colors and the original woobies. Still have a pair of the original shoes. Great quality and great customer service. This last pair I ordered the wrong size and realized it before they shipped. I contacted customer service and let them know what happened. The staff made the change before they shipped without hesitation. Highly recommend woobies. Comfortable shoes and great customer service.
David P.
I own 4 pairs of Mod 1”s the black ones were my first pair I got about 4 years ago now and I’ve beat the hell out of them I’m not easy on footwear and I’ve always had a hard time finding shoes and boots that I won’t walk through in a few months. So far my Woobies have replaced all my footwear without issue I sold guns in them standing and walking around all day, I’ve worked in a metal shop in them catching sparks from grinders and getting soaked and sprayed in all manner of chemicals and cleaners, I hike in them in all manner of terrain wet dry icy sandy they don’t care. Having worked briefly at Danner boots and seeing how they cut corners and outsource things to cut cost really taught me to appreciate quality like this when I find it, it’s really refreshing when a companies product actually matches up to there claims and I would argue exceeds them in this case.
Ryan C.
The look is great, but they’re not comfortable. Definitely not a 12 hour shift shoe.
Shane S.
I've had my MOD 1 for more than 2 years love them totally even though the canvas gave out at the toe cap stitch area. I still grab them over the Vietnamese star brand hightops even though those are newer..
Wyatt g.
I was not fully satisfied with the shoes. Been wearing them for a few weeks now hoping they would break in but are still uncomfortable.
Jeremiah A.
I bought my Woobies back in January after a lot of research. I was excited and confident these were the right shoes for me. Unfortunately, two months in after very minimal and light use, the plastic inside the back of the heel cracked. It made on obvious click every step. The shoes still looked basically new so I decided to reach out to Woobies. To their credit, they had great customer service and sent me a return label and shipped me out a new pair as soon as they received mine without any hassle at all.
Then, two months later, like clockwork, the same exact failure happened. Unfortunately, this time, due to frustration and defeat, I decided I would see if I could just live with it. I did get used to it, but it certainly is a distraction and frustration after so little use. Again, the shoes still look basically new.
The real bad news came after two more months (four months after receiving them) the thread and glue holding the canvas to the sole has begun separating. It's certainly the weakest part of the shoe, but in reviews, most people just had trouble with the canvas wearing out. This is far more destructive and I expect these shoes won't last too much longer.
I did reach out to Woobies immediately and they explained that they're "working with a new manufacturer to perfect these". Not sure if that's due to these being known issue or not. Unfortunately, the warranty is only good for 3 months, so they were unable to replace them this time (kicking myself for not reaching out the second the heal failed again.) They did offer me 40% off a future pair for the trouble.
I genuinely have no desire to give a bad review. I really wanted these to work. And obviously there are an overwhelming number of perfect reviews, so I don't know if it was just bad luck for me at once, but I would've wanted to see this review before purchasing.

Unfortunately they are like ballerina shoes. If you have very skinny feet they'd be wonderful. I guess my son who recommended them has skinny feet. Definitely a high quality shoe but unfortunately they don't seem to come in any wide sizes. I had to return them I guess they were destroying my feet
Andrew S.
Second pair. These are next level! I'll continue to buy these as they wear out which takes forever.
jeff h.
great feel and look
Andrew S.
Super comfy and well built.
Tom L.
On my 6th pair. My go to shoe for EVERYTHING. incredibly durable, excellent grip, perfect for every situation.
Highly recommend.
I went up a half size from my standard size.
T.L.
Stefan P.
These shoes are awesome, they are tough and have upheld ruck marching, charity stair climbs as well as everyday work in a Brewery!
J G.
Just picked up my second and third pair.
I got my first pair for Father's day 2021. I wore them almost everyday since. Soles are still good. A little wear on the fabric after three years of use.
Paul P.
Will be back for more!
Dave L.
Have only worn these shoes 15-20 times tops. This week while traveling both the shoelace guide and the strap on the back tore out. The fabric around the top of the heel is wearing out as well.
I paid $138.xx for these shoes and they are already breaking in pretty basic areas.
Altamas cost 1/2 and chucks cost even less and those lasted me for over a year.
I bought a pair of woobies because it’s “veteran owned” and it sounded great but now I see it’s just another hype brand grifting Soldiers.
Cameron F.
Love my woobies they have been my EDW going on a year or so now.
David L.
So, I bought into the hype. These shoes cost about 40% more than Altama maritime assaults and have, so far, proven less durable.
The sole wears out more quickly, and yesterday the little leather shoelace guide tore while simply tightening my laces. I’m outside my 3 month warranty window, so out of luck.
Altamas lasted about 15 months before showing major wear.
Woobies lasted less than 6. Would not recommend.
Kenneth R.
This is my second pair, the first are still going strong but color finally faded after 2 years of near daily use. Awesome shoes! Also, glad to see the company is constantly looking for ways to improve their products as the laces on this pair were improved. Keep up the great work. Side note: these are true to size, I wear a 10.5 in pretty much everything else. Break in is super short.
Troy P.
Love these shoes! Not only are good looking, they are lightweight and comfortable. I’m on my feet all day and these bad boys get the job done!
The customer service is also top notch. I ending up canceling an order ( they were on sale) for another pair in a different color/style that I ordered before these arrived, because I wanted to test them out just to make sure I like them. After I reached out I got a quick response that my order has been cancelled and that a refund was issued back to my card. This all happened before my order was sent out. I didn’t have to explain myself to anyone or explain why I changed my mind. In today’s world seems like to have to explain yourself to someone as to why you changed your mind, and then have someone try and talk you out of it. Neither of these things happened.
You guys have a satisfied customer for life. I love the fact you support our veterans and donate shoes to them. Our veterans still don’t get looked after nearly enough. Makes me feel even better about my purchase know that I’m helping people that help us. God bless!
Vincent S.
Love these shoes this is my third set. Will definitely buy again
Jacob S.
I like the way they look, my issue was the toe box was almost symmetrical instead of allowing more room on the inside of the foot so the inside of my big toes kept rubbing, it didn’t shape the foot very well. Hopefully this can be fixed and I’d be interested in buying a pair then.
Phillip L.
Been wearing Woobies for many years, only time I've bought other shoes is work related. Always very happy to support Americans!
Richard C.
Great shoes and great customer service. Highly recommended.
Jesper W.
Thank you for a wonderful product. They are the most sturdy sneakers I have ever owned.
Customer service is excellent, too!
Brody H.
Solid shoe, gets the job done.
James W.
I have worn woobies for many years. These are only some of my woobies, unfortunately I’m missing a couple pairs but this is a good size sample. I do many different types of industrial coatings thats why they look pretty rough. They were my favorite shoes ever. A pair of woobies and my Danners and im set on footwear for any situation. When I found these shoes I left a review saying how glad I was that I never had to buy Vans ever again. I meant it and I’m still not going to buy any Vans but now I will never ever buy another pair of woobies. The tan and black shoes have American flags on the back just like the ones in the picture on this website, the grey pair does not. It’s not an exaggeration when I say the grey pair has literally been worn half the amount of time that any of the American shoes have. Hard to show in the picture but the foreign pair is way more broke down. I find it disgusting that for years now you have been selling shoes that are not made in America yet all the pictures on your website still have American flags on them. These are not even remotely close to the same shoes I wore for so many years. Sure inflation is out of control but to increase your price to then sell me a lesser product is infuriating. At least Anthony not only runs his company like a street hustler, he also rolls the appearance of a street hustler as well. “No one ever outsourced anything for quality,” Darn Tough Socks.
TRISTAN R.
Pros: the ankle broke in after about three days. They feel really well made. Made in USA. Good tread grips
Cons: They hurt my feet.
I really do want to like these more but even after changing the insoles to something I usually have my feet get extremely sore after a few hours. I'm hoping they will get better after a few more miles.
Harrison P.
I wrote you guys about the quality or lack of quality I should say. You guys want a review so here it is. I purchased my first pair of woobies in 2020. I don't care about a stitch pop here or there life happens. The mod 1 used to be the most comfortable shoe ever. Fast forward to 2024 I ordered my second pair of mod 1s. I am a furniture mover and a server so being on my feet all day I need comfortable ans stable shoes. These are bow cinderblocks with laces. The souls are harder than semi truck rubber and the insouls are nearly the same. I use to talk about these shoes to everyone and now I talk about them for how much they have decreased in quality. Even the laces are have been switched out to be terrible. The cherry on top of this is the return policy is abosimal. Please woobies if you're going to increase the price of your shoes make them the same quality you had before.
Timothy T.
The shoes run very small on the sides they restrict my feet and I am not a wide. They need redesign for comfort.
Jacob S.
These are my favorite shoes. My first pair are finally dead. Almost 4 years of everyday use. I have worn these in every terrain and situation possible. Multiple countries, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet, dry. You name it and I put these to the test. Will definitely continue to buy these shoes. Now I need another pair.
Cooper D.
Struggled to ware them for a day so uncomfortable
Jacinto M.
Great shoe, excellent customer service. Highly recommended.
Remy S.
Awesome shoes, great working out shoes, hold your feet in place with no slipping on the floor or out of the shoe. The reason for 3 star. I do feel like the sole of those newer shoes are tighter than the older generation. I made the mistake of not ordering wide, which is on me.
Britt M.
Wore these one time and the stitching popped out of the sole near the outside portion of the ball of my foot. They are too narrow and sized small. Unpleased
Steve M.
I really wanted to like these shoes but I can’t say I do. The toe box is narrow even in the wides. The drain hole would come loose and the sharp prongs that hold it in place would dig into my foot. I suffered through wearing them for 4 months and decided to never wear them again and now they’re my dog’s chew toy. Just buy a pair of Altama’s if you want a durable, comfortable pair of chucks
Layne D.
Had an issue with the shoes after about a month. Reached out to the company and they sent a return label and a brand new pair of shoes. Great customer service. Will be buying again in the future!
Hannah W.
Ladies! If you’re not a high heel slinging gal, like myself, these are great. I’m running interference on kids all day as a work from home mom. I need the agility and durability. These kicks take a beating and give me a power foot forward when my teenage boys need a boot in the you know what. I had to order a half size up from my usual. I also have narrow feet and ordered regular mod, they took some time to break in. But well worth it.
Robert C.
Size was great and I love the style. They're good quality, but the pull tabs both pulled off after 2 uses; I burned down the threads and moved on. Definitely will get another pair whenever these wear out.
Spencer A.
First I ordered the WOOBIES in tan, and I ordered them in a 9.5. I normally wear a 10, they seemingly run a little big. However, this second round I ordered a pair in black, size 9 and a pair in cement size 9. The cement ones fit like a glove and I love em. Weirdly, the black ones feel slightly smaller, and stiffer than the black ones. Maybe they were old stock and something has changed. Overall I love these shoes, but I wish they both felt the same.
James F.
Ordered as a gift, as father wore out the first pair from years of daily use. The came quick and they’re his “go to” shoes for everything.
PATRICK H.
Very uncomfortable. Returned
Todd S.
These shoes are all around amazing!!
Great for going out great for skating, Great for biking,
Great for walking
Great for hiking!
Love how they look and feel!
Comfy, awesomeness!!

Randy L.
I love these shoes. They are comfortable and good for hiking. They are also great to wear at work. I really like the fact that a purchased pair means a new pair for a homeless veteran.
Bryan C.
Great shoes for everything!
James P.
Change in manufacturing is evident. This is my 4th pair and the quality and materials are significantly lower than prior pairs. A real shame because the prior 3 pairs were the best Chuck Taylor style shoes I have owned.
Scott T.
The shoes are very high quality. The customer service is great. The shoes run narrow and the rigid sides of the shoe make overcoming the width difficult. The sides of the shoe are sturdy and high quality, but if narrowness is an issue - it is quite uncomfortable. The insole is very, very soft, gel-like rubber. The insole is good, but I am not sure many customers will expect a sole that is this soft. The insoles can be swapped out, but the narrow width makes the shoes hard to wear.
Russell M.
My third pair of Woobies.
Favorite shoe.
Alex S.
The shoes look great. Fit well. Comfort is the major problem. The inserts are very thin and uncomfortable. The inside part that rests against the Achilles had a protruding part that gave me a blister until I cut it out. Still have love for the product bought two pairs especially since they go to homeless vets.
Micah E.
Love Woobies. My last purchase was 5 pair of shoes. Made in America and comfy. I would have given 5 stars, but my last pair showed up with 2 right inserts. I pulled a left out of one of my old pairs. Still a big fan.
Don C.
Even if you are not going tactical, the MOD-1's are rugged, stylish, and comfortable. If the need to GET SOME arises...stand-by!!
Jacob H.
Definitely not what they used to be. My last pair lasted 2 years before having any issues. This pair I am less than a month in and they have already torn. Yeah they offered to exchange them for another pair but what’s the point to ship shoes back and forth and I will likely have the same issue. I didn’t want to believe the quality was lower but it definitely is.
Gregory D.
So far so good! Shoes feel like my typical vans but the construction of them are far superior looking forward to getting some abuse into them to see how they really do but my wife loves how they look and I love how they feel!
Joshua H.
This is my third set. I had one issue out of all of them owned and the boys took care of me right away. I have zero complaints and these are my go to daily’s. Cheers boys.
Aaron F.
Love these all black Woobies. I call them my special occasions. I wear my Cemento’s daily and the Blacks when I when the works done! Great addition to my collection!
Ben E.
Love the shoes but was sent an 8.5 men’s instead of a 10 men’s. Will buy again but hopefully they’ll send the right size next time
Adam A.
After less than five months both shoes stitches on the sides blew out. I reached out to the company and they have failed to contact me. I don’t like my experience and that’s fine. I will not purchase again.
Daniel F.
These are my everyday shoe. I am able to use them for work, play, workout, and church. Comfortable and durable! I have purchased multiple pairs since my orginal purchase a few years ago. Thank you for such a quality product and fantastic service!
Michael J.
Purchase them for a family member’s birthday and they love them.
Chris
I love them. They’re comfy, durable and easy to maintain but the black canvas upper fades into a purplish color that is not pleasant.
Bronson W.
Can I use cuss words? I'm going to use cuss words. I switched to these from wearing cheap ass Chinese (Australian designed) Volley shoes and with each step my falling arches and plantar fasciitis (you listening VA?) thank me. I'm blessed to not wear a uniform (vis a vis dumbass boots) in my career field and these check the boxes. Versatile enough to wear to meetings, lunch, not overtly scream shoot me first like 5.11, workout in if I forget my fucking training shoes.. I could go on and on.
Shits kinda of expensive though, ngl
William G.
Absolutely love the shoes and amazing customer service. Will be buying more
Garrett B.
The best shoe for hiking, working and lifting. I've constantly worn my last pair of woobies for the last 3 years before i decided to replace them, and they are some of the most solid, stable, nonslip shoes I've worn.
Ronnie V.
So fare these shoes have been holding up. Still have to put them up against something’s but the feel rely well maid. The comfort is there for a flat style of shoe. Other wise I’m very satisfied
Georgia S.
My grandson loves them he got his pair while he was in the Marines. He has been out for 6 or 7 years and he was still wearing them this year, but he wanted a new pair because they were finally getting worn Thank you for getting his size back in
Gregory D.
Woobies Mod 1's make a great patrol shoe or all around shoe. They compare very well to the Altama Urban/maritime assault shoes. I would say that they look better and are more comfortable. I am on my third pair and can tell you they have great customer service should anything go wrong with their product.
wes .
Way too narrow and attempted to return but my attempts to contact go unanswered? Not cool.
Mark Karrah R.
these were for my son. he absolutely loves these shoes and last a long time
Gregory G.
Well made with a classic style. These are my new go to for travel and everyday wear.
John W.
The build of the shoe is lacking. The left one has a point from where the two half’s of the shoe come together.
It’s small, but it pokes my Achilles tendon cause irritation and pain.
Customer service was silent when I reached out for help.
Maria R.
Thank you for honoring the guarantee warranty policy!
Happy with purchase!
Josh W.
I love the shoes. Almost wish I had of gotten a 1/2 size bigger. I have wide feet and the size I got length wise is good, just very tight in the last.
The quality of the shoes is great and very comfortable.

After placing my order, I finally received my shoes about three months later. I reached out to customer service about 3 times and they replied with an answer like we are working on it and they eventually disabled their customer service option. I have seen many other people with this issue and I have never waited so long for a pair of shoes. Once I received my shoes, they fit well around my foot but I absolutely HATE the insoles. They are one of the worst insoles I have ever seen in a shoe. Pretty horrible experience so far. I suggest the far superior ALTAMAS
Anya A.
The toe box is unbearable narrow and stiff. The soles are also very stiff. The inner sole was slippery which caused my feet to slip to the narrow toe box. Also, it took almost 3 months for me to get my shoes. I want to support a military business so I'm not requesting a refund but I will gift them to the first person in my circle who can comfortably wear them. With a heavy heart I do not recommend.
Aaron M.
I will never order from this website again. Took them 5 months to send my shoes. They don't update your tracker so you don't know where or when your order is. If you try to email customer service the email will won't go through. They take your money immediately and then leave you in the dark.
Corinne
They are comfy and look good
logan M.
Already falling apart 3 cuts on right shoe behind rubber toe. The Seam on the right shoe connecting the canvas to sole ripped now some is seperating
Arthur O.
Great Product! I enjoy them so much I purchased every color!! You can’t go wrong supporting a veteran owned business and they are great shoes!!!
Phillip P.
I got my pair of mod-1 in 2021 and have not really wore them because I feel that the tongue stitching in mine are not right and tends to sit crooked and rubs my foot, Its honestly just only the left shoe, also maybe a bad left shoe or they really need to be broken in like a pair of boots. But other than that great sole and easy to clean and when it gets wet it dries quickly. I would buy another pair though just to see if they have updated the stitching.
Luke M.
Just wanted to share some wear points on my pair of mod 1's.. The stitching has come apart towards the toe and the finger loop on the heal pulled out. I don't wear them daily, but really enjoy them and will still buy another pair. I hope you guys are getting the kinks worked out and using a heavier stitching so the next pair I buy will be more durable.
Other than that, I love the basics and the comfort of the shoe.
Kristina k.
Comfortable and all around great everyday shoe . Great for lifting at the gym all the way to hiking outdoors .
Samuel Z.
Love them alot. Very comfortable I literally wear them everyday. Currently summer time with mid 80’s average and my feet stay nice and cool with socks. Havent tried them without socks yet but 10/10 recommend these shoes
John
Great shoes but run very small. Love them.
James R R.
I am very happy with these shoes. It took a couple of days to break them in but they are my go to shoes for the office and travel.
Steven N.
Toe box is very tight and size 14 is not offered in wide. I guess it seems weird that a bigger foot might also be wider than average. Will not order again unless wide becomes available in my size. Other than that they seem to be a great shoe so far. Time will tell. Hopefully they break-in and stretch a little.
Bryan W.
I wear these workin my fire/ems shifts and not only are they comfy but they are stylish and easy to clean! Will definitely buy the mod 2 next!
David C.
I have been putting these things through the wringer and they just won't go down. Awesome kicks
Travis F.
Wore them hiking and riding on family vacation just after getting them and were comfortable.
Jesus
Will. Definitely buy another pair, stylish and definitely worth it so do yourself a favor and buy a pair or two!
Kyle H.
Woobies are still my favorite pair of shoes by far. However it seems as if the quality of the sole has gone done some since my first purchased pair roughly a year ago.
When I put the new pair on the sole felt like I was standing on concrete, vs my old pair which I still have that feels like a pillow. So I swapped the old sole with the new but am still somewhat disappointed with this quality as I was expecting more comfort in the newer pair vs an old beat up pair that I’ve worn doing roof work for the past year plus change.
