The Interview

Question 1 - Where were you born?
Daniel - " I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa but I only lived there for a year. I've spent the majority of my life living in the states."

Question 2 - What school(s) did you attend?
Daniel - "I went to Cumberland Academy High School in Tyler Texas. It was newly developed so we never had a grade above us. We were the first graduating class which has its perks. Because the school was new it was disorganized and we didn't learn a lot but it was always fun."

Question 3 - What did you do after graduating?
Daniel - "I started my first online business during the summer and then started my freshman year of college. During which my online business exploded and I made about $50k halfway through my first semester. I decided to go full time so that I could pursue entrepreneurship as a career."

Question 4 - What was your first job?
Daniel - "I worked at Spring Creek Barbecue as a bus boy. It was an absolutely horrible experience that made me realize the danger of dead end jobs. It made me realize how many people can get stuck into something they hate. I missed out on lot of good time with friends and that's what I realized was important to me. Money was nice but the freedom to do what you want was better."

Question 5 - What do you like to do in your free time?
Daniel - "I like to workout, hang with friends, play basketball, and game. I recently moved up to Dallas and I'm still making connections so I'm a homebody."

Question 6 - Can you explain your involvement with Woobies?
Daniel - "I started at Woobies as an ecommerce consultant helping them grow with my experience from my ecommerce store. I loved the team and the mission so I decided to hop into a role as the VP of marketing. I'm pretty all over the place and help out with back end stuff, product dev, and of course marketing. A typical day for me is creating graphics, setting up landing pages, meetings, and putting out the occasional fires that happen in any business."

Question 7 - Describe Woobies in 3 words.
Daniel - "Tough. American. Elite."

Question 8 - What has been your favorite project at Woobies?
Daniel - "I've really enjoyed product development and that process. It's really fun for me to create an idea and then bring it to life. My favorite part is getting a good idea and then revising it over and over to get something truly amazing."

Question 9 - What are your goals and aspirations?
Daniel - "For me the most important thing is freedom to do what I want in life. I've seen a lot of people with potential get stuck in life and that terrifies me. I really just want to do whatever I want and I think money is the key to that. I think right now I am focused on making Woobies the best possible company it could be. Working with a team to create something truly incredible sounds like something I won;t ever forget about."

Question 10 - Is there anything else you would like to say to our veteran community and customers?
Daniel - "Thank you for all the support. The Woobies community is really special and I've never seen anything like it before. We're constantly working behind the scenes to create incredible things for y'all. The community support always makes it worth it in the end."
