Coach Rick Kolster

A man of many hats

Coach Rick is many things, first and foremost he is a family man. Whether they call him Dad, Poppa or Honey, he loves his family. He the founder of the Peak Performance Group and a serial entreprenuer. He is also a Certified Business Coach who loves working with and helping to build future leaders.

An author, podcaster (The BALD TRUTH), motivational speaker and expert in leadership growth. He’s also an adventure junkie he loves to push the envelope in everything he does.  He is an avid shooter (IDPA) a USCCA firearms Instructor, scuba diver, motorcycle rider, ordained minister and lover of all things American. If it will get his adrenaline going, he’s all in!

The Interview

Question 1 - Where were you born?
Rick Kolster - I was born in Northern New Jersey.

Question 2 - What school(s) did you attend?
Rick Kolster - I attended Mountain High in NJ and Wesley College in Dover Del.

Question 3 - What did you do after graduating?
Rick Kolster - I bought my first business (a neighborhood bar) at 22 and then ran it until I moved to Houston, TX in 1982 and ran more bars and clubs there.

Question 4 - What was your first job?
Rick Kolster - Cutting lawns and shoveling snow as an 11-12 year old kid.  I’ve always had the heart of an entrepreneur.  It was always about the hustle and hard work.

Question 5 - What do you do for a living?
Rick Kolster - I run the Peak Performance Group a Leadership development company helping organizations thrive and grow, also a motivational speaker on getting things done.

Question 6 - What inspired you to pursue your job?
Rick Kolster - I first heard Tony Robbins in 1988 and was amazed by the changes people could make with just the right mindset.  I knew right then I was destined to help people create their best lives through personal development.

Question 7 - How would you describe Woobies in 3 words?
Rick Kolster - Best shoes I wear.

Question 8 - What are some of your accomplishments?
Rick Kolster - My accomplishments pale in comparison to so many, My biggest has been my family.  I have two wonderful, successful daughters who have families of their own.  The biggest accomplishment one can have in life is to leave a great legacy.

Question 9 - What are your goals and aspirations?
Rick Kolster - This year one of my goals is to grow the Peak Performance Group Emerging Leaders Academy program to train up more future leaders. The second goal is to expand the BALD TRUTH Podcast.

Question 10 - Is there anything else you would like to say to our veteran community and customers?
Rick Kolster - A huge thank you to all our Veterans and First Responders for being on the front lines every day and giving of themselves, selflessly.  It is an honor to know some of you and a privilege to have you watching our front and back.  Get your Woobies, Mod-1’s are my go-to day-to-day shoes and they keep pushing the envelope with the new version.  Keep it going!
